Being a Qore annual subscriber I was able to acquire a ModNation Racer beta code to test out this PS3 exclusive racer to be released next year. First impression, the game is amazingly fun. Imagine Mario Kart meets Little Big Planet and that’s exactly what ModNation Racers is.

Over the pass month my gaming has been nothing but Modern Warfare 2 so when I heard of the Bad Company 2 beta I was curious enough to work at getting a beta code which I eventually got through FilePlanet. I did see a preview video a while back so was pretty pumped about the game.

Last week Playstation 3 owner were blessed with the opportunity to get the first crack at the Dante’s Inferno demo on the PSN. Aside from the God of War clone talk and fake outrage promotional marketing schemes I didn’t hear much of the game so went in with fairly low expectations. First off, I must state that I was surprised by the graphics and framerate of the game as the game runs smooth and looks pretty nice. So I have had a chance to test out my Turtle Beach P21 headset for a month now and am ready to give my take on them. These are Turtle Beach’s first attempt at a headset that combines mic chat and stereo sound for the Playstation 3. A couple of cool elements of these is that they have seperate volume controls for mic chat and game sound so you can manually tweak the audio for that perfect balance.

A while back I wrote a little opinion piece entitled “Bayonetta: Bad Music, Pole Dancing and Stripping” where I pretty much expressed my complete disgust with Bayonetta viewing it as an uninspired Devil May Cry clone with an over-sexualized Sarah Palin look-a-like. Well, guess what? Now that I have tried the full game, my opinion on this game has done a full 180 degree shift.

Let me start by stating that I really was fairly optimistic about Bayonetta but after playing the PS3 demo yesterday I cannot contain the disappointment I experienced with this game.

Man oh man. I cannot stress enough how great this game is. As one of the lucky few who got in on the 1st phase of closed beta testing I can confirm almost that we got another classic on our hands. The visuals are stunning and multiplayer has enough depth to add on replayability to this game as the 1st one lacked that aspect. As a gamer late to the party in terms of the 1st edition of the Lost Planet franchise I decided to get the demo of Lost Planet 2 as soon as it became available for download since I had a great time with the 1st one.
